Urban fashion kit created with free materials provided by the city.

Freewear is a project that explores the possibilities of creating garment and accesories out of free materials provided by the city.
The Postal Gown it’s a revival of the paper dresses made in the 60’s. Although the pattern and style is based on the Paper Dress, the Postal Gown, does not have to be thrown away after being used and it’s completely free.
The Postal Gown it’s made out of Tyvek postal envelopes that can be found for free at the nearest US post office.
The Open Workshop of Freewear will present the Postal Gown and other pieces related, that were created using as main source freecycled and hacked materials.
Some finished dresses and DIY kits will be available during the workshop for attendants.
