Intersection Play is a performance installation for street intersections, which will occur at the intersection of Metropolitan and Union in Williamsburg.  Viewers are invited to join the work, as they understand its logic.  Times:  Thurs  9/13  6:30-7:30pm    Fri  9/14  8:30-9:30pm    Sat  Sept 15   2:30-3:30pm

Intersection Play is a performance installation for street intersections, which will occur at the intersection of Metropolitan and Union in Williamsburg.   The work borrows and reshapes the ordered human flow of intersections.  Performers will herd, line up with, slow down, speed up and otherwise play with the ongoing passing by of the intersection. Intersection Play anonymously reforms the existing patterns and idiosyncrasies of a street intersection and reveals and transforms a common public place; transforming it as the intersection is subjected to creative observation and shape. Function yields easily to form. The performance installation will be ongoing during the posted hours, and viewers are invited to join the work, as they understand its logic.
