Rebecca Nagle
Rebecca Nagle is an installation, video, and performance
artist. She grew up in Kansas. After attending Interlochen Arts
Academy, she studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), where she is currently a bachelor of fine art (B.F.A) candidate. Nagle has exhibited nationally and internationally in various museums and galleries, including Site Santa Fe in Sante Fe, New Mexico and Ssamzie Gallery in Seoul, South Korea. Her work is in the permanent collection of Ssamzie Museum in Hayri, South Korea. Also, she is a part of the exhibit design team for At Freedom's Door: Challenging Slavery in Maryland at the Maryland Historical Society and the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture. Nagle's work focuses on the power dynamic between herself and her viewers. Her paradoxical performances foreground, parody and ultimately undermine the structure of the art object-viewer relationship.
