On one clear September day, Sonia’s life is about to change. A strong hurricane is headed towards New York City and a myriad of choices suddenly face her. Does she evacuate? What about her dog, Charley? An interactive audio walking tour, “Water, Water Everywhere” weaves Williamsburg’s past, present and not-so-distant future together, exploring how the waterfront continues to shape the neighborhood and its residents.
Structured like a classic “Choose Your Own Adventure” book, the listener can make choices to influence the story’s development and where the walking tour takes them. Walk in Sonia’s footsteps and chose carefully- the only thing higher than the stakes is the storm surge…
Remember to bring your iPod or CD player to Conflux. CDs will be available for participants at Conflux Headquarters, or, alternatively, MP3’s will be available for download through the “Water, Water Everywhere” site by Thursday morning. A printable Google Map is now available as well. This tour is on-going and self-guided, but it’s recommended that it’s done during the day.
