Eyebeam’s Ecovisualization Design Challenge
Filed under Panel Discussion, projects
Eyebeam will bring together a panel of artists, designers, and creative technologists working in the field of information graphics to discuss the visualization of environmental data. From charting energy consumption and carbon emission levels, to communicating air and water quality, the panelists will explore means of creating compelling visual arguments to facilitate social change.
The event will likewise launch Eyebeam’s Ecovisualization Challenge, a competition to heighten environmental awareness through creative data visualization projects. Group sign-ups will coincide with the panel, and the challenge is scheduled to run from October-November, 2007. Winning projects will be included in Eyebeam’s upcoming exhibition focusing on environmental and sustainability issues.
